At their core, Veg Momo’s are a simple and satisfying snack that can be enjoyed any time of day. They’re easy to make and can be customized to suit any taste preference, making them a perfect option for busy families or those on the go.

To make our Veg Momo’s dhaba style recipe, we start by making the dough. This involves combining flour and water until a smooth, elastic dough is formed. The dough is then left to rest for a few minutes, which helps to improve its texture and flavor.

While the dough is resting, we prepare the filling for the dumplings. This typically involves chopping up a variety of vegetables, such as cabbage, carrots, and onions, and sautéing them with a blend of Indian spices like cumin, coriander, and turmeric. The filling is then left to cool slightly, which makes it easier to handle when filling the dumplings.

Once the dough has rested, we divide it into small pieces and roll them out into thin circles. We then place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle and fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape. The edges of the dough are then pinched together to seal the filling inside, and the dumplings are either steamed or fried until cooked through.

Steamed Veg Momo’s are the more traditional of the two varieties, and they have a soft and fluffy texture that’s perfect for soaking up spicy sauces or chutneys. To make them, we simply place the dumplings in a steamer basket and cook them for several minutes until they’re fully cooked.

Fried Veg Momo’s, on the other hand, are a more indulgent version of the snack. To make them, we pan-fry the dumplings until they’re crispy and golden brown on the outside, while still juicy and flavorful on the inside. They’re perfect for dipping in sweet and sour sauces or enjoying on their own as a tasty snack.

One of the things that makes our Vegetarian Momo’s steamed and fried recipe so special is its dhaba style preparation.

Dhaba’s are roadside restaurants that are typically found along highways and in rural areas of India, and they’re known for their delicious and hearty meals. Our Veg Momo’s dhaba style recipe incorporates the same bold flavors and fresh ingredients that are commonly found in these roadside eateries, making it a truly authentic and satisfying snack.

In addition to being delicious, our Vegetarian Momo’s steamed and fried recipe dhaba style is also packed with healthy ingredients that will keep you feeling energized and satisfied. The vegetables in the filling provide plenty of fiber and nutrients, while the Indian spices add flavor and antioxidant properties.

I have to say this, the first time I made momo’s they came out bad. They were too doughy, under cooked or overcooked, Bland… SO after trying to make perfect momo’s multiple times , I came down to these measurements of ingredients and the process.
