How to make Vodka Tandoori Momo’s – Ok , So this recipe is Dhaba Style’s creation. We were looking to create something very unique out of a popular dish. Well I love Momo’s and being from Delhi I love trying Momo’s at different places since they are so easily available.

The Problem, In America Indian style Momo’s are not only hard but impossible to find. So I set out on a mission  to make Momo’s. Now I have made Paneer and Vegetable stuffed Momo’s a lot of times before, I had never tried to make the Tandoori Version.





I already had a pretty awesome Tandoori Masala recipe that I use in most of my Tandoori dishes so that part was easy although after trying this dish a few time I felt there was something missing. Don’t get me wrong. It tasted great but it had that Kick missing.

So I started to evaluate how I would cook Paneer when Grilling with friends. I have had this secret that sometimes I would douse the Paneer with alcohol on the grill to give it a hint of bitterness that goes great with any tandoori/grilled food.

That is when I thought how about if I added Vodka to the marination. It will add a bit of kick to the flavor and also not be overwhelming due to baking.

So After adding Vodka to this recipe, the taste was Perfect. Obviously you are not going to get drunk by eating these since some of the alcohol is evaporated during baking leaving a little taste of vodka 😛
