Dhaba Style Paneer !!

    Ingredients

    • Ghee - 1 Tbsp
    • Butter - 1 Tbsp
    • Dry Red Chillies / Sukhi Lal Mirch - 2
    • Bay Leaves/ Tej Patta - 2
    • Cinnamon Stick / Dal Chinni - 1
    • Black Cardamon - 2
    • Green Cardamon - 4
    • Cloves - 5
    • Black Peppercorn - 1/4 Tsp
    • Onions - 2 Cups Chopped
    • Ginger - 2 Inch Jullian
    • Garlic - 1 Tbsp Minced
    • Yogurt - 3/4 Cup Strained
    • Tomatoes Pulp - 1 Cup
    • Coriander / Dhaniya Powder - 2 Tsp
    • Roasted Cumin/ Jeera Powder - 1/2 Tsp
    • Kashmiri Lal Mirch - 2 Tsp
    • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tsp
    • Roasted Gram Flour - 2 Leaves
    • Turmeric Powder / Haldi - 1/2 Tsp
    • Dry Fenugreek Leaves / Kasori Methi / 1.5 Tbsp
    • Salt - 1.5 Tsp
    • Water - 2 Cups
    • Paneer - 400 GMS
    • Fresh Cilantro / Dhaniya - 2 Tbsp

    Instructions

    Roasted Gram Flour / Roasted Besan

    1. Take besan in a pan and roast it until light golden on medium flame. 
    2. Note - Keep flame on medium to high heat throughout.
    3. Heat Oil and Butter in a pan.
    4. Add Dry Red Chillies, Bay Leaves, Cinnamon Stick, Cloves, Black Peppercorn, Black Cardamon and Green Cardamon once the ghee and butter is heated.
    5. Roast the wholes spices for couple of minutes.
    6. Add Onions and cook until Translucent.
    7. Add Garlic and Ginger and cook for couple of minutes.
    8. Add Yogurt and mix well. Cook until the ghee starts to separate from the gravy.
    9. Add Tomato pulp and Salt.
    10. Cook until the you see ghee separating from gravy.
    11. Add Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder,Red Chilli Powder, Roasted Jeera Powder and mix well.
    12. Now add Roasted Gram Flour and cook for 2 more minutes.
    13. Add Water and mix well.
    14. Now add Paneer cubes and mix carefully.
    15. Add Green Chillies and cook for 5 minutes with a lid on.
    16. Remove the lid and gently mix it.
    17. Add Kasori Methi and Butter and mix well.
    18. Garnish with chopped Cilantro.
    19. Serve with your favorite breads!!
