    Ingredients

    For Gulab Jamun's

    • Milk Powder - 1 Cup
    • Maida / White Flour - 2 Tbsp
    • Baking Soda - 1/4 Tsp
    • Ghee / Clarified Butter - 2 Tbsp
    • Milk - 4 to 6 Tbsp
    • Oil to Fry

    For Sugar Syrup

    • Water - 3 Cups
    • Sugar - 1 Cup
    • Hari Elaichi / Green Cardamom - 3
    • Kesar / Saffron - 5 to 8 Strands

    Instructions

    To Make Jamun's

    1. In a Big Bowl take Milk Powder, Maida and Baking Soda.
    2. Mix all these ingredients well.
    3. Add Ghee and Mix well gently.
    4. Now add Milk and Mix gently. Do not knead or mix too hard for long otherwise Gulab Jamun will not be soft.
    5. Now apply oil on your hands.
    6. Take a small sized portion from the mix and make into a round ball. If the ball has cracks, dip in milk and mix in your hand then make into a smooth round ball.
    7. (Optional) With your index finger make a hole till the center of the ball. Add some pistachio and start closing from the top.
    8. Now make into a smooth round ball and keep aside.
    9. Do this for all the Mix.
    10. Now in a wok heat oil to fry the Gulab Jamun's. Oil should be heated on low to medium flame.
    11. Add the Gulab Jamun Balls in the oil and cook on low till Medium Dark Golden/Brown.
    12. Gulab Jamun will almost double in size.
    13. Once Cooked remove on a absorbent paper towel.

    To make Sugar Syrup

    1. In a pan on medium heat , add Water, Sugar, Elaichi and Saffron.
    2. Let it boil till its half string consistency. Basically the syurp should be lightly thick.
    3. Now shut the flame off and add the fried Gulab Jamun's to the Syrup.
    4. Let it sit for a couple of hours. Gulab Jamun Will Soak the Syrup.
    5. Heat, Garnish with Chopped Pistachios, Cashews and Serve!
